A Review of the Gold Courses in Maui
Yes, believe it or not there are some mighty awesome golf courses on Maui. The wind does play a factor in your golf game but if you are prepared you may just enjoying golf better here than any place else on earth. Plan your tee time for early morning when the wind is calmer. The south Maui courses are the most popular with calm winds until around 11am and sometimes a bit longer. West Maui golf courses at Ka’anapali are a tad windier and the courses on West Maui at Kapalua are very windy, however, there is sunshine about 99 percent of the time. Just remember, the best time to play a round if you wish calmer winds is in the early morning hours. Once in awhile you may have to deal with a passing rain shower, but that is all it is, just passing over. When you get out there on the golf courses at either South or West Maui do not let your eyes be deceived all the greens break toward the ocean. Yes, even uphill if it towards the sea. Dress codes are mandatory for all golf courses on Maui. Shirts will collars must be worn or you will not be playing on any of the courses. Golf carts are included and in fact mandatory on all courses unless stated otherwise. Now, on to the golf courses.
No matter where you wish to play be sure to get an early start before the wind picks up, watch out for the insects, and of course wear a hat and sunscreen.
