The Keauhou Beach Resort is a nice, quiet ocean front hotel located about 3 miles north of Kona. The hotel is placed amidst 10 acres of well manicured tropical gardens of native plant life such as plumeria, heleconia, ulu, and hala. This oceanfront property boasts some of the best snorkeling on the Big Island and also features interesting tide pools, a swimming pool, the Kalona Day Spa, indoor meeting facilities (four meeting rooms with 6,900 square feet of space), onsite oceanfront restaurant and bar, ocean view fitness room,  six tennis courts, and three large outdoor function areas.

The spacious air-conditioned guest rooms feature everything from a plush garden view to ocean front views.  They have private lanais, in-room movies, and offer daily maid service.  There are laundry facilities on site.

The Keauhou Beach Resort is places near to the Kona Country Club which boasts a nice 36 hole golf course.  The resort adjoins popular Kahaluu Bay Beach Park which also features swimming, surfing and some of the best snorkeling on the island. Excellent shopping can be found a short drive away in Kona.  The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to the nearby Keauhou Shopping Village. 

As an added value, the Keauhou Resort has a Trolley that provides complimentary service within the resort (Keauhou Beach Resort - Keauhou Shopping Village - Kona Country Club (golf courses) - Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa - Keauhou Bay) and use with limited service to downtown Kailua-Kona. 

This property was once part of a large ancient Hawaiian community.  Historical sites on property include the remains of two ancient heiau (sacred temples), a canoe landing and the Po'o Hawaii pond or sacred bathing pool once used by ancient royalty.  A more recent addition is a replica of King David Kalakaua's summer home of the late 1800's.  Cultural workshops and presentations are offered throughout the year.
